Dino Relay
GETTING STARTED:
Dinosaur friends must work together to get the food the humans have left them and transport it safely across the prehistoric landscape while staying within the safety of their protected lands!
How to Play:
Tell students this will only work with amazing teamwork!
Break the group into 2 teams and have them stand in relay race formation on one end of the playing area.
On each team, break into 2 pairs that will take their turn together.
Place enough plastic eggs, beanbags, and balls at the other end of the playing area for each pair to get one on both relay teams.
Give each team 2 hula hoops. Tell them they can only stand on the ground inside a hula hoop to get the food, and they must go together in pairs to collect it.
Start the game and watch each set of pairs work together to move to their food by carefully moving the hula hoops!
MATERIALS NEEDED:
Soft balls, bean bags, and plastic eggs as "dinosaur food".
Cones to mark boundaries
Hula hoops for the “safe ground” they must stand in as they go to get the egg.
