Pass the Planet
GETTING STARTED:
Students stand in a circle.
Instructor gives one student a bean bag (“planet”).
Students gently toss the planet to anyone else in the circle (not next to them if possible).
After throwing, they must say:
“Planet to ___!” and say the person’s name.
That student catches it and throws to someone new.
CHALLENGES:
Add a second planet once they get good.
Add a third planet for upper grades.
If a planet drops, everyone does 3 “moon jumps” and keeps playing.
For older grades: they cannot throw to the same person twice in a row.
MATERIALS NEEDED:
1–3 bean bags (these are “planets”)
4–6 cones (to loosely mark the circle if needed)
